In the early 80’s she portrayed the punk and new wave scene in Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, London and New York City but also actors, painters and writers for reports and features in national and international magazines.

Her works were exhibited in Paris, Zagreb, Berlin, Cannes, New York City, Munich, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Schwerin, Athens and Bad Doberan.

 

Since the 80s, Ilse Ruppert photographs the scene in New York, Los Angeles, Berlin and Paris. She is part of these artists who frame reality and transforms it into art. Few photographers have such a gift to express the essence of live spectacles. Her photographs have the beauty of dreams and the cruelty of nightmares.
